Sugarfree joy and Shark Tank experience!

..a querky bunch of restless yet cool kids were waiting for someone to step inside the stall, ..and that they can interact. ! As if it was some kind of self-imposed group assignment for them I guess, and they lined up uniformly when I entered the stall, as if they were in a class waiting for a teacher to walk in...(so had I thought, but it was to turn to something else soon) ! Till now they had figured out everything about all the products displayed, and were ready for firing a flurry of questions, and there came the first one.."if there is no sugar in this chocolate, what makes it taste sweet ?"

I tried to act smart, attempted a diversion, and asked that all these items are vegan, and if they knew what "vegan" meant !

I hadn't even finish the question, and almost every kid replied instantaneously.." they have no animal products!" No dairy, egg or anything from animals" ! The smile I had already, elongated out of my face and they could judge that they were able to impress me.

I was jumping with joy from inside, and then before I start the answer to their first question, one chap with the specs politely placed their collective agenda with an attempt to get a bargain that they were looking for. " sir, don't we have tasting samples here ?!! "

I had already submitted myself to giving them a treat, but then, suddenly my partner in the crime (of kindness), Bhavesh, rang a bell in my mind, patting on my impulsive tail, suggesting to bargain back ! So I tried hard to contain myself and evidently resisted and stopped myself from lifting a biggest vegan chocolate bar from the counter, asked them : " So what do you....!" I was cut short again by the smallest kiddo in the group with glowing cheeks and big eyes, as she threw her question to me, with absolute genuine curiosity. "....Sir...(she paused while thinking)...if not cow's milk then how is this stuff made...(and then correcting herself she continued) ..we know that it's from plant based milk, but how do we get milk from plants ! " ...! ! ..every other one joined in a chorus.."yes yes tell us" ! ..(repeating a couple of time in excitement).

Ofcourse their limited information set about biology and botany conflicted as their image of milk is the one that has been bombarded through propaganda of a happy cow ringing their door bell each morning to offer us her milk out of motherly compassion!!!

But this lot was way smarter than I thought,  and suddenly the spectacled jumper asked..."sir just tell us how you take out milk from oats"...!

So I collected myself fromt the euphoric high that I already was in, and explained in a small sentence..." you just soak oats in water, crush them, and strain...!"

The jumper turned to the tallest girl in the group and snaped his fingers and pointed to her, declaring his win on their unmentioned bet !! Eureka moment !

Eventually, I had them select their flavour, which took a good bit of 5 minutes, as they were pretty confused from over 24 flavors of compassionate chocolates collectively in offering.

I explained them how Stevia worked and they were amazed to find the sweetness without sugar and wondered about the beauty of nature and plants !

Their last question was....".We know your company was in Shark Tank, referring to the WAKAO logo on the banner ! Why have you not mentioned it there !?" I told them that it was my friend Sairaj, the founder of WAKAO, who had gone to The Shark Tank, and i asked .." if you sharks have no more questions for me...can I have a group photo while you guys taste the chocolate?! "

So my saturday Shark Tank experience concluded with a promise to visit their school with more such knowledge lessons, and finding their investment in my cause, that of veganism, to which they were full stake holders already !

The FUTURE, my friends is VEGAN, and they know it.
